Weekly Beauty Rituals:

''Beauty is what you feel about yourself,
not what you see in the mirror''

When was the last time you did something relaxing or pampering for yourself? We can all get caught up in being ‘too busy’ but these little tips can help even the busiest person to find time for themselves at least once in the week.

Take a Bath
If you have a bath use it. Add some relaxing oils for it and soak for as long as you can.  Put on some nice music, light candles, bring in a book whatever helps you and your body to relax.
Do a Face massage
Get a nice oil for your skin type and massage it into your face before bed. Focusing on upward movements. We have muscles in our face aswel as our body and these get lazy too. The more we stimulate them the firmer and more alive looking our skin will be! Pressing with thumbs under the start of the eyebrows is my favourite place to relieve tension. Try it!
Exfoliate your skin
Gently scrub the body with a body exfoliator or glove once a week, this helps to remove dead skin cells and leaves the skin smooth. Apply a nice cream or oil afterwards. Gently exfoliate the skin with a different product (because the skin on the face is much thinner) to buff away again dead skin cells, and leave brighter fresher looking skin.
Apply a Face mask
Apply a face mask for your skin type on the skin for a few minutes, or while cleaning and doing jobs around the house or sleep in it overnight. Masks help to rejuvenate and give a instant glow to the skin.
Put in a Hair mask
Hair masks give  a great shine and healthy look to the hair. Especially for coloured and heat styled hair. Leave on for around 20 mins then wash off.
Do a well deserved Foot scrub
Use a foot file for the hard skin that we all get on our heels especially in winter. And apply a nice rich cream or oil on the skin to help nourish the feet. Our feet all deserve more tlc!
Apply some Cuctile oil
Apply a nice oil to hands and nails before bed. This helps to strengthen the nails especially during these cold winter months. And try and give shellac and gel nails a break every now and then, although they look amazing and glamorous the nail underneath is suffering.
Steam your skin
Try and steam your face every now and then. Boil the kettle and pour the water in a bowl, grab a towel, place your head over the bowl- not in it so that its burning, but just enough so you feel it & cover your head and bowl with the towel. This helps to open the pores and push dirt and bacteria out. Super if you get breakouts.
Give yourself a Scalp massage
Try and do a scalp massage once a week to stimulate the healthy growth in the hair.Do it in the shower while shampooing, or while the hair mask is in or simply when chilling on the couch.

Take some time out for you..

Love,

Katie xoxo
