Foreo VS Clarisonic

Foreo all the way.....

So I invested in the clarisonic 2 years ago and I was obsessed I really thought it was amazing.
Now its not the cheapest product to invest in starting at around 120 yoyos, baring in mind you have to change the head every 3 months which adds another 20-30e.

Since starting my job here in the Netherlands I am working with the Foreo... and oh my, its unreal!
The foreo is another type of hand held face brush to cleanse the skin and allow products to work better into the skin.

So, your asking 'whats the difference?'....

The clarisonic is made from bristle brushes which in the longterm can damage the skin, causing irritation from the bristles. This is also not the most hygenic of types of brushes for the face. As bacteria can easily build up in bristles. The Foreo on the other hand is made of silcone and is very hygenic, it has a sonic device that moves around on your skin simular to the clarisonic but it has completely different bristles. See the picture below for comparsion. The foreo is gentle yet still deeply cleansing (x10 deeper than the hands) the skin.

These bristles can be rough on the skin and hold bacteria. You must change them every 3 months.

This side of the brush (its not really a brush so we will call it a device!) gently exfolaites the skin
This side of the device has massage effects on the skin (Only in the Luna 2)

They are around the same price but 1 thing to keep in mind, if you invest in the clarisonic you have to change the head every 3 months for the best use and hygenic reasons- so that adds more of an expense. The foreo, you have for life, you just charge it up every now and then.

The Foreo (Luna 2) is by far one of the best skin care products I have used this year. I dont use my clarisonic anymore. There are different types of foreos see here.

If you have a clarisonic, you dont have to ditch it and switch, just be mindful that those bristle brushes can damage your skin over-time so do not use it everyday and dont force it around your skin. Limit it to 2-3 days a week. You wont see the damage straight away but it can damage the capillary wall in the skin in time beacuse of the rough bristles. You only need to use the clarisonic 2-3 times aswel due to the exfoliating effect. You dont want to over exfoliate the skin. I did like the results from the clarisonic when I used it, but as a skin therapist and working with the skin everyday I choose not to use mine anymore and opt for a more skin friendly brush.

Thats it for now chat soon,

Love,
Katie xoxo
